We are Tony and Kris. We reside in Oregon with our dogues Monet, Bacchus, Charlotta, Artemis, Calais, Capitain Jack, Armani and Arlette. We became involved in the Dogue de Bordeaux in 2000, when we adopted our first, Monet, from a local rescue group. We soon found out that Bordeaux' are like potato chips, you can't have just one. So, we purchased Boogie, aka Phoenician's Bouguereau (7/29/01-3/29/07). The numerous health issues Boogie has had made us want to get more involved with the breed, and learn as much as possible and to help others going through similar things with their dogues. The more involved we got, the more we wanted to help make the breed better. We started doing rescue and breed education. In 2003, we purchased our first show dogue, Bacchus. He and I thoroughly enjoy showing. In 2005, we brought in our first imported female. Charlotta is from Slovakia. In 2006 we imported Artemis from France. Charlotta has already  completed her IABCA, UKC and DDBSA Championships. Artemis started her show career off with a bang, her first set of shows, she took Best of Breed puppy all 5 shows, with very strong competition! She too has earned her Junior Championships with IABCA and is also very close to earning her UKC Championship, Rarities Championship and has earned her DDBSA Championship at 18 months as well as being ranked #4 Bitch for 2006 by the DDBSA. In 2007, we brought in Calais, also from France. She too has started off her show career and was one of the few puppies at the French National to receive the rating of Very Promising. In 2008, we brought in Capitain Jack from France. He will begin his show career soon. December 2007, we produced our first litter and have kept Arlette and Armani from that breeding as well.

We are evolving into breeding kennel that will produce a limited amount of litters a year once our girls reach maturity and pass their health testing. Since we are heavily involved in rescue, we see what happens when back yard breeders produce litter after litter and don't care about the future of the breed. We care about the future of this breed and it's health problems. We are researching and learning as much as we can about breeding, genetics and bloodlines because we want to do it right. We are showing Bacchus, Artie, Calais and Capitain Jack and have imported the best bloodlines from Europe to build the foundation for our program. We have finished Bacchus' health testing and are pleased that he has passed his OFA for heart, elbows, shoulders, patella and thyroid and also received an average Penn Hip score for the breed. We will stand behind what we produce, we will health test, we will follow the code of ethics of the DDBSA, we will show, we will microchip all of our pups, we will register all of our litters AKC-FSS, and we will remain in contact with our "new" extended families. These are things that responsible breeders do. With determination and persistence we will produce healthy, excellent examples of the breed and place them in loving homes.

We are very passionate about the Bordeaux and love and respect the breed and will do our best for the future of the Dogue de Bordeaux.
